Welcome to Coach Bowls

We are the National  training company for bowls based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and offer the only Nationally Recognised Qualifications for the sport in England, wholly supported by Bowls England, EIBA Ltd, and with contributions from BCGBA and ESMBA.

Coach Bowls is committed to delivering a first-class service for all, whichever code of the game you play. We have a range of courses tailored to those wanting to be a qualified coach, as well as invaluable training courses which non-coaching club volunteers can access to help their club run more efficiently, safely, and inclusively.

From open days to coaching international bowlers and everything in between, there is something for everybody!

Bowls England Awards

The Bowls England Awards acknowledge the hard work and commitment that goes into making our sport great. Whether it’s a dedicated coach, an innovative club, an exceptional player, or a ground-breaking initiative, we shine a spotlight on those who elevate the game of bowls.

Over the past few years, our awards have illustrated the depth of service and talent within our community and served as an inspiration to others to volunteer, coach, officiate and play their part in bowls.

Nominations for the 2024 Bowls England Awards are open! what our students say

‘Having recently completed both my level one and level two coaching qualifications through Coach Bowls, I was impressed by the quality of the tutors and how much I enjoyed the training sessions and how much I learnt, especially on the level two course. I am proud of my qualification and the reassurance of having a recognised qualification from a national organisation.’

Steve M; West Sussex

‘The courses provided by Coach Bowls are of the highest standard and so are the tutors. I am really pleased to have done my level 1 and level 2 coaching with Coach Bowls and can now coach other bowlers new and experienced to give them the change of reaching their full ability.’

Michel G ; Oxfordshire

‘As a club we have never had external coaches at our club until the 2022 outdoor season. Two Coach Bowls Level 2 coaches were just the sort of thing we needed to help our new bowlers and experienced bowlers alike.

The sessions we had were the Delivery Clinic and the Team Communication – Skipping, Building and Reading the head. These sessions were enjoyable and extremely informative, and I would recommend Coach Bowls coaches to any club.’

Mark D; Colchester

‘Having recently completed the Coach Bowls Level 1 Course I would thoroughly recommend it to any aspiring coaches. The tutors certainly knew their stuff and the practical sessions were excellent at helping me develop my knowledge of the game and learning how to coach others; even my own game has improved!’

Steve F; Essex
